Keeping God #1 in Your Business (PR_Vol_141)

Becoming Pregnant With the Vision & delivering It!

(Hosea 10:12) Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
One day I was thinking about what God had placed in my heart to do for Him. I had—and still do have—a God-ordained desire to see churches and Bible schools raised up in all nations around the world. Many years ago, I asked the Lord, "Father, how is this vision going to ever come into reality?"

He said to me, Son, you are going to have to bring it forth by intimacy, pregnancy, travail, and birth.

This made everything very clear to me. Spiritual birth takes place in much the same way that natural birth occurs. In order to bring forth in the spiritual realm, we must become intimate with God. I believe that today the Holy Spirit is speaking the words of our text to the Body of Christ: To become intimate with the Lord, we must seek Him with our whole heart. From that intimacy comes pregnancy.

From pregnancy will eventually come travail. To travail means "to intercede, care for, pray, and speak God's Word over that vision or plan." Then, finally, we must give birth to the fulfillment of God's will in our lives. It will not drop down on us out of the sky, however. We must draw near to God, but when we do, He will draw near to us. (James 4:8.)

Developing the Spirit of an Armor bearer
If you want to develop an intimate relationship with God, nothing can take the place of simply spending time with Him. Has your relationship become stale? Try doing something different.

• Take your Bible and a notebook to a park or some other location other than
home. Treat it like a date. Away from home, there won't be the distractions
of the TV, telephone (turn off that cell phone!), bills to pay, etc. You could
sit in your car or find a quite nook in a library. Or dedicate a room in your
home to be your sanctuary. The place is unimportant. What is important is
that you set aside time for Him away from distractions.
• You can simply sit still while soaking in His presence. Just be with Him.
Have you ever noticed that with people you are close to, you don't always
have to be talking to each other to enjoy each other's company?

• Pray in the Spirit. This will build up your spirit, and oftentimes you will sense
the interpretation flowing along with it.
• Find a private place and sing, praise, and worship your Father.
• Ask God to lead you as you read your Bible. You can read a lot or simply
meditate on a verse that you feel drawn to.
• Seek the 5Rs. To see what I mean, Click the links. (Part 1234)
• Listen. Don't be uncomfortable in the silence. God has things to say to you,
but your mind must be quiet enough to hear Him.
• Write down your thoughts and any revelation that comes during your
   intimate time with God.

Here's a prayer you may want to incorporate in your devotion:
Father God, relationship is what You are all about. It was one of the reasons You sent Jesus to us, so that we could relate to You. I ask You to forgive me for being so busy that it has taken away from my time with You. My heart yearns for intimacy with You, and Your Word says You yearn to be with me too. I know You are knocking on the door of my heart, so I open it to You. Come on in and let us share a spiritual meal together. As our hearts are knit together, I know You'll impregnate me with the vision You have for my life. Help me to nurture it in prayer as it grows. With Your help, I know I will eventually give birth to it. Amen.
