Keeping God #1 in Your Business (PR_Vol_153)

God Uses the Weak to Confound The Mighty

1 Corinthians 1:27
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

When you are faced with a big challenge, do you automatically look for the most powerful means to solve the problem? Well, my friend, that is not thinking the way God thinks. The Bible tells us that it pleases God to use what the world considers weak, foolish, base and despised to bring to nothing things which are mighty.

“What is that in your hand?” God asked. (Exodus 4:2)

“A rod,” Moses said. And with that rod, he performed miracles and confounded the might of Pharaoh.

“Five loaves and two fish,” a little boy said. And with that little boy’s lunch, Jesus fed 5,000 men, and his disciples gathered 12 baskets full of leftovers. (Mark 6:38-44)

“The jawbone of a Donkey,” Samson said. And with that, he slew a thousand Philistines, who were the enemies of God’s people. (Judges 15:15)

“Five stones and a sling,” said David the shepherd boy. And with one of his stones and the sling, he brought down Goliath, the mighty Philistine champion. (1 Samuel 17:40)

"Only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil at the bottom of the jug," said the widow of Zarepeth to Prophet Elijah.

But, this widow went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16 For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah.
(1 Kings 17:7-16) NIV

“If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed,” Said the woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She followed through, and Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment. (Mathew 9:20-22) NIV

My friend, don’t despise what seems weak and insignificant to the world. God can use them to bring down the giants in your life! What Giants are you facing today? What do you have in your possession? If nothing else, you have the Word of God in you mouth. Speak it in faith-believing; right NOW!
