Why Aren’t Your SEO Efforts Working?

In this modern internet age many of the old ways of ranking our websites in the search engines, also known as SEO, simply do not work.

Getting your sites showing up in search engine results nowadays is more about the quality of the content rather than how many website back links we can engineer or even buy.

Fixing SEO problems

Here’s what Hubspot has to say about SEO:

“All the SEO-ing in the world won’t fix bad content for the long haul, which is something the business owner from central Texas learned the hard way.

After doing a site crawl and a content audit of the small business owner’s site, we uncovered the real issue, which was as glaring as it was unsurprising: The brand’s content was poorly targeted, poorly written and contained little in the way of meaningful information.”

In order to create great content that people will be willing to share and use, we need to thoroughly understand our business and create content from that knowledge.

“One of the best things you can do for your website’s SEO performance is to make creating strong, resonant content the hallmark of the brand. The better your content, the easier it is to share and generate engagement around the information -- and the brand. And as the brand gets better at iterating, social activity and links are a likely byproduct.”

So we must make the effort and create that all important engaging content that is likely to get shared around the social media sites and hopefully get views.

Is SEO something that you get involved with or do you just pay to get your website or blog seen? I use the traffic programs inside Viral Team Builder to promote my sites, which in turn also helps my SEO efforts because the search engines see my site getting traffic.
