“1. Hi Rory, thanks a lot for agreeing to a second interview. I want to start by just recapping on a few things covered in the last one, so for the benefit of any new readers here can you just reintroduce yourself and give us some background information on ENR-G?
We have been running for 74 days now and feel that we have made quite a positive impact on the industry as a whole. When we launched this program we were hoping that we could provide some very reasonable returns to our investors while improving our world through green investments. Joshua Lang works on ENR-G alongside me handling support and administrative issues (missing deposits etc..).
2. Can you also describe the investment plans you are offering potential members? What rates of interest are available and what are the minimum and maximum amounts accepted?
We offer 4 investment plans ranging from 1.2% to 2.7% from 30 – 90 days with a minimum deposit starting at $10.
We have our 30 day HYDRO plan for investors that would like a quicker return on their investment. This offers 1.2% over 30 days with a $10 minimum deposit and $200 maximum.
Our second plan and most popular is the SOLAR plan which offers 2.2% over 90 days with a $10 minimum and $1,999 maximum. This offers a great return for a relatively low investment.
Our next 2 plans are for those with more to invest, and lately have become more and more popular.
Our BIOMASS plan offers 2.5% over 90 days with a $2,000 minimum and our GEOTHERMAL plan offers 2.7% over 90 days with a $10,000 minimum.
All of our plans offer compounding and a return on principal.
3. Can you share the current membership statistics in ENR-G with us? How many members do you have now and what are the active deposits? Are you satisfied with how things have went or were you expecting more/less by this point?
Sure, at the time of filling out this interview we have 8508 members with just under $800k in active deposits across all four payment processors. I know that I speak for our entire team when I say that we are all very happy with the way things are going and grateful that the members have chosen to take such a favorable view towards our company and staff.
4. What payment processors are you using and what have been the most popular options?
We offer our investors a variety of payment methods which include Liberty Reserve, Perfect Money, Solid Trust Pay and Alert Pay. Our most popular choices have been STP and AP.
We offer instant withdrawals to PM, AP and STP. LR withdrawals are processed within 24 hours of the time of the request and usually much sooner. I would love nothing more than to make Lr withdrawals instant again but for the time being their system is completely unsafe in my opinion and I wont risk members money because of their inability to secure their API system.
5. I know that sometimes payments are made to members instantly while at other times they aren’t. So what are the circumstances determining that and why have they been disabled to LibertyReserve completely?
There are two reasons why a payment wont be instant. The first is that on occasion a processors website or API system will go down preventing the payments form going through. This is something completely out of our control and something we will just have to live with.
For security reasons we do not keep all of our members money in one account due to the fact that if something happened to that account we would want to make sure that we could continue to process payments. So we add an average amount of money to the processor accounts every day which we believe will be enough for payments. Sometimes payments are more than we’ve added and in that case the payment may be declined at the processor level and will go to pending.
As far as LR goes, well, let’s just say that your article summed it up nicely Paul. They have an insecure system when it comes to their API and its a goldmine for hackers and thieves. In addition they refuse to help members recover stolen funds and so it leaves me, at least in my mind, with no choice but to pay those manually to prevent any unscrupulous attacks on our funds.
6. I know you recently gave serious consideration to dropping LibertyReserve completely from ENR-G‘s list of accepted payment processors. Why was that? Have you completely abandoned the idea now or might you still do so in the future? Has anything really improved with LR to change your opinion or was it purely for logistical reasons?
LR, believe it or not, is our third least used processor. Its only followed up by PM which is used even less. But LR unlike PM was constantly under attack and was in my eyes more of a liability then it was an asset for our company to use. So the idea was kicked around for some time to even drop this processor from our list. I even went as far as to have the features programmed into our system to make the transition smoother.
For now though we have decided that the liabilities to our members and our reputation may be more of a threat than hackers and we have decided to keep LR active in the system for now. Although I’m still considering not allowing LR to be used for deposits anymore down the line and just continuing to pay the current active LR deposits. We will see but for now nothing has changed.
7. Staying on the topic of payment processors, I’m curious to know your professional opinion as an admin of the recent changes at AlertPay/Payza. From a practical viewpoint has anything really changed regarding the actual operation or how you use it? Maybe it’s too early to tell, but have you noticed any change in investor’s activities (such as are they more or less likely to use it) since it became Payza?
As of yet we have seen no differences with the recent changes at AlertPay/Payza. Things are operating as normal and we’ve noticed no change in investors activities since this change.
I will make a slight observation though. The merger and transition of AlertPay into Payza was done with a company who for a while has processed debit card transactions. It seems like a good fit for me and if AlertPay is smart and removes any association with the USA and its banks then I think it will make it a much more viable option for HYIP players moving forward.
8. It’s fair to say you’ve been a popular target for DDoS attacks right? How has that affected your ability to run ENR-G and how have you dealt with it? Why did you feel it necessary to change hosting providers? How does the level of service compare with your new host? Do you feel they are generally speaking more capable or more reliable?
The recent DDoS attacks have been a bit of an annoyance as it disrupts our investors ability to quickly access the site. Our hosting provider has been doing a great job at handling these attacks for us which has limited our downtime which with a lesser provider could have been much greater. We gave our original host plenty of time to prove to us they could provide a valuable service to us. Unfortunately they fell short and we’re unable to provide a decent uptime or a decent level of support. We quickly made the choice to switch to Black Lotus to avoid further complications and this turned out to work hugely in our favor as seen during the recent attacks.
DDoS attacks are a part of the industry and I’m aware of that. However I do feel that we’ve had more than our share. But to be honest they have been nothing more than a slight nuisance. We have excellent protection provided by an excellent company and I have full faith that whether we are under attack or not we will still proceed as normal.
Its important to note that we are a low ROI site. A few days of downtime (if even that) has no real negative effect on us. As long as the members realize that we are working on it and will always be here to make sure things are running smoothly then I think any attacker is simply wasting his time and resources on attacking us.
9. What can you tell us about the other security features of ENR-G, such as SSL encryption and how well protected the accounts are from hackers and the like?
The ENR-G script was customized from the ground up to tailor fit our needs. We implemented numerous security measures to ensure we could offer a pleasant and easy to use admin panel, complete with instant withdrawals and more. The accounts are very well protected from hackers and the like. Our website is 256bit SSL Encrypted through Comodo.
About a month after our launch we added a feature by which anyone trying to withdraw more than they have earned (IE hackers or cheaters) will be flagged and we will be immediately notified of it. This has proven tremendously useful to us in catching people who would fly under the radar with any other program.
10. You said in your last interview that you were constantly working on ways to further improve and develop ENR-G. So how has that been working out for you? How has the program changed or improved in the last couple of months?
That’s a good question Paul. I personally think that innovation and always being willing to grow are key factors in running a successful company. However we have experienced phenomenal growth and support in such a short period of time. The old adage “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” comes to mind.
Unless something really excellent pops out to me then we will probably just keep on the path that we are on, which is working very well.
11. And finally what are your future plans for the program? How do you plan to expand and grow even further and take ENR-G to a whole new audience?
One thing that I’ve noticed lately is that as more and more members grow confident in ENR-G they also become confident in sharing ENR-G with others. The natural result as we have begun to see is an exponential level of growth which is gaining momentum each day. This type of advertising goes far and beyond what a banner or sticky thread could ever do for us. So I think the best advertising that we can do is by providing a top notch service to our clients and let them be our mouth piece for us.”
Thanks a lot to Rory for that. I know he’s been busy for the last couple of days (well, last couple of months really!) so I hope any existing ENR-G members found this an interesting continuation, or companion piece if you prefer, to Rory’s first interview. And if you’re not currently a member of the program I hope you will check out the other features about them on MNO that I linked to at the top of the page and give some thought to adding them to your portfolios, as like I said, it’s been a profitable venture for a lot of players so far. So best of luck to Rory with ENR-G in the future and of course best of luck to the members as well. ===================================================
