MLM Training- Staying on Track
Because you are reading this piece of writing it’s logical to assume you are either participating or considering joining the Networking business.
Let me congratulate you, it’s an outstanding industry and will repay many-fold,the endeavor, focus and emotional commitment you invest into your business.
So you are off and running, enthusiastic, completely satisfied you are no more than a small step away from the lifestyle of your dreams – yes you may come upon a little negative but your conviction will take the day.
However networking, similar to any other concern is a marathon not a sprint, and one of the challenges is remaining focused, motivated and commited after the initial adrenalin blast of enthusiasm has waned.
Additionally, given the majority of distributors are part-time, there are a host of other actions jostling for time and consideration; work, family, social engagements etc. Maintaining focus becomes essential to long term success.
So How Can This Be Achieved?
Generally, there is no mysterious formula or one-stop shop to achievement. But there are methods and systems which, if employed long enough, grow to be habits, and if these habits are encouraging and elevating, will keep you to your chosen destination.
Goal Setting
Perhaps one of the most awkward challenges people new to the business need attend to is the skill of goal setting.
It is rare to discover an individual who understands, in certain detail and timescale, specifically what they are looking to achieve. Most new distributors have some indistinct notion of success and are later disappointed when this anticipated success evades them.
Undoubtedly there are shakers and movers, the achievers in life… they know precisely what they want, at what time they want it, are dedicated to their objectives, cultivate a plan and stick with it until they become successful.
Goals need to be definite, written down with dates attached.
An extraordinary and attractive goal setting system that works really well, whilst engaging both the right (creative) and left (logical) sides of the brain is:
Goal Mapping – by Brian Mayne.
Nevertheless as the demands of life persistently contest for awareness, maintaining focus becomes much more difficult, which is why many “New Years Resolutions “are forgotten by February.
One of the ways to maintain focus is by way of affirmations.
Affirmations.
Write down your goals on paper, have them with you at all times, and read them out loud at least 3 times a day with “emotional intensity.” Imagine yourself already in possession of your objective, truly living the lifestyle you desire.
Two books worth reading are:
What to Say When You Talk to Yourself – Shad Helmstetter.
Psycho-Cybernetics – Maxwell Maltz
Reading
Without doubt, daily reading of appropriate books is the best way to transform your thinking.
Always read at least 15 minutes per day, and figure this into your diary.
A few books worth mentioning:
Think and Grow Rich- Napoleon Hill
The 4 Hour Work Week- Tim Ferris
You Can if You Think You Can- Norman Vincent Peale
To build a large MLM business requires leadership and development of a wide selection of skill-sets.
Audios
It desn’t matter how busy your diary there is always time to fill your mind by way of audios; there are constantly situations in which actions can be combined.
Positive CD’s, MP3's etc listened to whilst driving or undertaking some of life’s more mundane tasks, achieves 2 things:
1. Keep your mind focused on the positive.
2. Just as important- keep your mind off the negative (displacement theory).
Association.
Few indeed are individuals who have succeeded in isolation.
Learn and partner with mentors; those who have previously accomplished what you are looking to achieve- listen, study and learn from these people -why re-invent the wheel?
One last thing… stay away from negative people!!!
