Are there any other newbies out there?
I don't know about you, but I have a tendency to want to do things my way, as well as fit in with others.
Being new to network marketing, I'm really grateful for this site and sites like this, and I'm also being very conscious of my messaging. Through an unrelated source, I've been reading about the importance of niching (pronounced "neeshing" if you're Canadian or "nithcing" if you're American), so am wanting to attract people I really want to work with.
Since the network marketing realm and niching are both new to me, I spend quite a lot of time just trying to digest information, and experiment with ideas.
Traditional wisdom in the network marketing realm, as far as I can tell, urges us to cast a broad net since it's a numbers game. I've been experimenting with being very honest about who I am and the type of person I'd like to work with. A business relationship is a big deal, and I want people who share some of my values.
The type of person I want to work with would be defined as my niche. I'll just go ahead and describe how I see that niche: people who care about others, society and the environment; are ethical and hard working; looking for a worthwhile business opportunity to dedicate themselves to, are interested in holistic health and wellness.

Xavier, thanks for mentioning that Tim Sales is one of the leaders of Ariix. I'm lucky enough to be just three downline from him. I'll be blogging about Tim Sales and his video, "Brilliant Opportunity" - and the effect it's had on the industry some time soon.
