Madagascar is the Fourth Largest Island in the World

Madagascar is a large Island Nation off the Coast of Southeast Africa. It is home to lemurs and thousands of other animal species found nowhere else in the World. Plus many pristine Beaches, lush Rain Forests and Reefs.

Nearby the very busy Capital Antananarivo, is Ambohimanga, a steep hillside complex of burial grounds and Royal Palaces. Including the "Avenue of the Boababs," a winding dirt road lined by massive centuriesold trees.

Atanananarivo is the Capital City of Madagascar in the Central Highlands of Island. Overlooking the City, the Rova of Antananarivo palace complex was the Center of the Merina Kingdom from the 17th Century.

It features wooden houses and Royal Tombs. The pink and baroque Andafiavaratra Palace sits nearby the Haute Ville neighborhood. Heart-shaped Lake Anosy in the City Center is surrounded by jacaranda trees.

Over the past two thousand years the Island has received waves of settlers of diverse origins including Bantu, Arab,Chinese and European populations. The history of Madagascar is clearly distinguished by the early isolation of the landmass from the ancient supercontinent.

This contained Africa and India and by the Islands late colonization by human settlers arriving in outrigger canoes from the Sunda islands between200 BC and 500AD. The evolution of thousands of native plant and animal species were threatened by this arrival of human settlers.

Madagascar Village Street Food is Exotic and can be found nowhere else in the World. Enjoy my uploaded Madagascar Youtube Video.
