It indicates that due to investments and upgrades:
Electricity bills are expected to increase by about 7.9 % per year, over the next five years!
Though over a 20-year period that rise would be about 3.5 % per year!
From a fixed Government regulated, price of 4.3 cents / kWh (Dec. 9, 2002), to 6.4 cents/kWh (Lower Tier) and 7.4 cents/kWh (Higher Tier) on Nov. 1, 2010 - there has already been a steady increase. Ontario Energy Board sets rates in April and November – don’t be caught napping!
