It has been said that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with. Are you happy with your average? Think for a moment, be it family, friends, or acquaintances, who are the five people that you spend the most time with?
Now, while you have your thing cap on, what do you really think of these five individuals, do you like them, admire or aspire to be like them, are you proud to be in their company or ashamed to be seen with them? Do you find them interesting or just someone who wastes your time? Do you enjoy the activities the two of you engage in or are you easily bored in their presence?
What is it that you have in common? Are the commonalities positive or negative in nature ? Is it a mix, some positive, some negative? On a piece of paper write the names of these five people that you spend most of your time with. Beside each name place a plus or minus symbol, depending on your general impression of that persons influence in your life. Now add up the pluses and minuses.
Your average is the average of the pluses and minuses, are there more pluses than minuses? Are you happy with your average? If you are not happy, it is time to change your circle of influence.
The obvious way to improve your average is spend more time with the persons who have pluses beside their name or replace the minuses.
The ability to achieve great possibilities is within us all, one of the first steps to realizing this is having a positive circle of influence. If you do not already realize this greatness within, it would be a wise to invest in someone who can show you .
