Down-load WordPress at
To create a folder on the website
go to the public/HTML folder.
and then open a subfolder
to put the WordPress installation in.
Now upload WordPress files to this subfolder.
Creating A MySQL Database
Now we need to create
the necessary elements outside of WordPress
to get WordPress functioning.
That mainly is a database.
This is done through cPanel.
Go to MySQL database.
Choose a package eg.
AnySQL Maestro Professional
(single non-commercial license)
AUD 112.24 Discount: 40% AUD 67.34
Enter a data base name.
Scroll down to MySQL Users.
Add New User.
Add a password.
Scroll down to Add User To Database.
Enter database name.
We have uploaded
the WordPress files to our server.
We have gone to cPanel
and created a MySQL database,
and the next thing for us to do is to enter
all of this information for a database
that we've just created
and connect the two.
Enter the following:
Database name: user name_database name.
Username: user name_database name user
For database host, leave as local host.
If that doesn't work, contact hosting company
and ask them what should be entered.
For the table prefix,
if you're just doing one WordPress website
then you can leave that as-is.
to the site name and it’s asking for a username.
We've already created a user for the database,
but this is different.
This is a WordPress user,
so for the database,
you've got a user account that can
manage that database
and WordPress will use that
account to communicate with the database.
For WordPress itself, we also have a username,
which could be something
that you will actually be logging
into WordPress with.
Cick Install WordPress.
