Finding a Way.
When I started business in 1967
many business records
much business information
on 5x3 inch color coded cards
Kept in a filing drawer.
In the middle 80's I purchased an
Adler Alphatronic Daisy-wheel Word Processor.
Back then it was considered loafing
to sit at a desk
so we employed others
to do all the office and typing work.
As the business owner
our role was to
meet and greet,
pick up the cheque.
It was considered much easier
to find a typist or secretary to employ
than to find
a competent salesman
A couple of years later I bought my first
IBM personal computer.
I still had no idea how to operate a computer
preferring to be out with the people
rather than sitting at a desk.
the business maintained steady growth
through until 2013
when I sold and retired
still not knowing how to operate a computer
but with a strong desire to develop
an online business.
In recent times I have learned:
to maintain a computer
to keep electronic records
to create websites
a fantastic online coach.
