How To Maintain

Strong Competitive Positivity.



It helps to maintain strong competitive positivity

in all aspects of our lives.



I was very fortunate to have parents

who believed very keenly in staying positive

no matter what the challenge.


They lived through

# The Great Depression (1929 to 1939),

Migrated to Australia (1938)


# World War II (1939 to 1945).

Father served overseas

in the RAAF.


Yet they stayed positive


passed this on to me.



I still have very

strong competitive positivity

which I seek to reinforce by reading

positive material.


One such reading that I came across recently:

The Power Of Positive Leadership

by Jon Gordon.


Being positive doesn't just make you better;

it makes everyone around you better.



Jon Gordon suggests 

Four stances 


Acknowledge setbacks but

focus on the future.




Good coaches have this ability.

They discuss the setback

but adroitly bring the focus back

to what is achievable.


Give Yourself Time.

You need both the peaks and the valleys

in order to keep moving forward.



Work hard for the desired future.



If you believe in that future

it becomes self-fulfilling



Stay healthy through diet, exercise, and sleep.



Study your body and know its requirements.


Give yourself every opportunity

to to perform at peak level.


Take care with your diet, exercise, and sleep.



Give thanks for success every day



Before you go to sleep

give your thanks for the day's successes.


When you wake

review and again give thanks

for previous successes.



Four simple and straight forward stances

for maintaining

strong competitive positivity


I frequently say silent thanks

to my wonderful parents

who gave me

a positive start in life.


I aim

to back this up frequently

by accessing very positive material.
