Appreciating the Little things Mothers day

Mothers Day is fast approaching and everyone is scrambling to buy Mothers Day gifts, cards, flowers and what not. I lost my Mother when I was 31. She was everything to my although I rarely told that. She was kind and gentle, and would give her last. She was a beautiful woman inside and out.
As I reflect when Mothers Day came around I would always get her flowers, candy, or a nice gift and tell he I love her very much, and thank her for all she has done for me.
But one thing I will never forget is the day she passed, I would never have that chance again. After the funeral as the family sat around talking about mom, I though to myself, I should have appreciated her more. Gave her more hugs and kisses, spent more time with her.
Then I realized from that moment on, that the little things really do mean a lot. They are more precious than gifts, cards and flowers. Nothing can compare to it.
So reflect on this and use it wisely, and cherish each moment, because when they are gone, it is too late.
To all the Mothers, have a Happy Mothers Day. May God bless you and keep you, and here is a hug, from me to you...

| | | | | Eric, that made me cry , i lost my mom Feb. 27th, 2010 And i will NEVER forget that day! I have a tattoo of Palm 23 on my back in memory of her. God bless you Eric! |
| | | | | Beautiful Eric. I can feel your love for your mother coming from your words. Just as I am sure she new you loved her as a son should. I too, remember my mother, standing beside her bedside as she slipped away. She tried to whisper something in my ear, but could not get the words out. I think of that many times, but I feel with all my heart that she was going to confirm as she always did, that she loved me also. God Bless Eric. |

| | | | | What a beautiful blog Eric. I can assure you as a mother of grown children that she understood and felt your love no matter how you did or didn't express it...we mothers just know...it's part of the beauty of being a mother. That said, to not waste a moment, to express love at every opportunity while our loved ones are still in this realm with us is priceless advice. Cherish your mother's memory without guilt on Mother's Day and everyday, and be assured she'll know...and always did. |
