A man and his wife are dining at a table in a plush restaurant, and the wife keeps staring at a drunken man swigging his drink as he sits alone at a nearby table.

The husband asks, "Do you know him?"

"Yes," sighs the wife, "He's my ex-boyfriend. I understand he took to drinking right after we split up seven years ago, and I hear he hasn't been sober since."

"My Gosh!" says the husband, "Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"

Do you think visitors actually read the content on your blog?

Maybe, if you can answer a seriously pressing question.

But most blogs are written to go go and seek interested niche members or others interested in your specific content.

That's why keywords were invented of course, to match the content to the enquirer.

But 80% of surfers skip the article content and the other 19% are skimmers.

That leaves 1% reading your article.

This tells you the significance of videos, images and infographics.

Remember the first line on first impressions, and how quickly you make a follower.

The very thought can be disconcerting.

Recall, in a face-to-face meeting ,it takes only several seconds to assess and evaluate the person with whom you are meeting for the first time.

The Internet has sped this process up, there's very little in-depth understanding and less patience.

At any rate,your subject,header,and your key words,drive visitors to your site.


You have little time to educate and send to your landing page.

The ideal situation of course is to send the enquirer to your LP to get on you list, and continue on reading and looking at your solid offers.

Basically,get them interested enough so that they'll enter their name email into your capture page,while staying on your page.

The Google algorithm looks at bounce rate and time spent on the site,as two of the predominate criteria to establish SERP position.

Recall, tracking to keep an important eye on your time-on-site results.

There are two free ways in which you can track your results: The first is Google Analytics,which Google provides in the webmaster tools section of your Gmail account.


These analytics can give you average time on site, total unique visitors, what keywords people are using to find you.

The second is Go to and type in your domain name. tells you how popular your site is relative to other US and world-wide sites, it also gives you the following:

  • Bounce Rate
  • Daily Pageviews per visitor
  • Average time on site

Searchers look at the headlines,and look for supporting keywords,the same keywords that they input in the search engine when they'd begun their enquiry.


Here we go again with keyword phrases that need to specify the visitors' interest and problem.

Major Search engines like the keyword phrase specified in the URL, the subject line and the first and last paragraph of the composition.

Obviously, the Search Engine's job is to get an enquirer matched up with exactly what they're looking for.

But you really have two tasks from an internet marketing and blogging perspective.

You'll need to get the right keyword phases matched up to your content,but second you'll need to get alluring headlines and subject with relevant keywords.

Compelling and keyword oriented headlines are not only important for your blog,they're also critical for your email copy subject, landing page subject,text ads and PPC ads.



Recall, the main keyword in your composition must match you main keyword in your Landing Page.

Clearing the predominant task remains the same, and that is to offer valuable information.

Value-add information trumps everything else.
