Payback "fair" play?


A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband.

Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen.

"Careful," he said. "CAREFUL! Put in some more butter!

Oh my Goodness! You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY!
Turn them! TURN THEM NOW!

We need more butter. Oh my GOD! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER?

I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never!
Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind?

The wife stared at him.

Fifty four percent of businesses view email as the most effective form of Internet marketing.

Although from researching this article email marketing has come down considerably in importance.

Corporations still are email marketing oriented, but the SBO not so much.

So there is reliance differential that businesses have on email marketing.


But the deluge of spam,redundant,preposterous, and clichéd email has created significant overexposure that has resulted in email customers,and the general email public users, becoming almost totally blasè to email.


So more than ever open rates are key to email marketing.

The email open rate is probably the most important piece in email marketing and you know that, although curtailed, email marketing is still very much a relevant marketing technique.

If you have high open rates,this indicates one of two things or both.

You have a great highly-thought-out subject line or you have a highly responsive list of email subscribers that know you.

Every email you send that doesn't get opened is a missed opportunity, and subject lines that may have worked in the past may not work today.

This is for the reasons above which I'd referred. You must be more careful than ever, in which you produce an openable subject line.

You've got to get innovative in order to get your email opened these days.

You've probably witnessed innovation as a subscriber.

To remain healthy and viable as an email marketer,you'll need to invest in some short and long term creative thinking.

Keep in mind, the two pieces of getting a high open rate to which I called your attention.

Responsive email recipients and compelling subjects.

A sure way to lose people is by using ridiculous headlines.

Be wary of emails from Paypal. If you think there's an issue or something of interest, go to and click a Wordpad link only.

But how do you establish trust to build a responsive list built on trust? That responsive list to which I'd referred.

Obviously, the first proposition is to add and give value,as you get to know subscribers.

Second, use the double opt-in,also known as a confirmed opt-in strategy in your autoresponder.

AWeber does not require this, but they strongly advise you to use the confirmed opt-in.

My partner WorldProfit uses a confirmed optin to verify legitimate optins, as they use the confirm-email technique.

Once confirmed, even free Associates are given significant value -add freebies,such as advertising credits, free traffic, stuff that real marketers want.

This way WP is able to verify bona fide customers.

People will see your name twice in the optin process, which gets the recognition process started.

The people you lose,because they didn't want to confirm their subscription,were probably not the correct fit anyway.

Recall, the landing page opt-in is always predicated on offering important value to the enquirer.

Email correspondence and email offers are exactly the same,as you give valuable "bonuses".

You really need to give away valuable digital products,or if your budget permits even valuable physical products,as you focus more on getting the lead.

When you write an ad, the only goal of that ad is to get them to the optin page,and the only goal of your opt-in page is to get them to optin and get that lead magnet.

The only goal of that lead magnet is, obviously, start to sell them maybe at that point in time, but you don’t write the ad,or email, trying to get an initial sale.

Recall, email and advert optins, are more about acquiring interested-party emails and building trust.


You always orient your marketing efforts to optimize your leads through primary lead marketing,offering valuable bonuses.

This would fulfill the first criterion of establishing a great open rate.

Another important dropoff in open rates occurs after the first much incentivized email.

You really must ensure that the quality of your email-followups can compete with that of your first email without compromising incentives and/or quality.

In subsequent emails, you actually can send emails that are bonuses only, or you can send emails that are more personal, or combine the two.

The personal emails are similar to the type of social oriented status updates you put on Facebook.

You still offer important information.

You're basically obligated to have the information that'll benefit people in your niche.

Obviously, you're not always going to have all the information.

You can send out an email, and invite people to ask questions.

You really want to be sure you're offering quality products, that'll help people in the respective niche. If not high value, get out quickly, and find a product with high value.

This might be tough on a small online business budget,however, you can still do in-depth research on the product before you send out an offer.

Prove you've done your homework and have the answers for which your customers are looking.

Always associate with a quality product, one in which you believe, and therefore recommend.
