Lighter Side of Quitting! Shortcuts to prevent quitting!

Lighter Side of Quitting!

If you think about it, the only way that we can fail is to QUIT.   On the other hand, quitting can be a good thing.

We all know someone that has quit everything!   They have quit smoking, drinking, and maybe even meat.

Part of a Dennis Leary quote:

"I quit smoking. I quit drinking. I quit meat, and I feel great. I get up in at six in the morning and have a nice big bowl of oat bran. Then I go to the bathroom for three and a half hours. I eat another bowl of oat bran and go back into the bathroom for six more hours. All I do is eat and  ?X?!  (poop), I'm gonna live forever! My colon's the strongest muscle in my body right now."

I shared a hospital room with a man who was covered with bandages and casts from head to foot.

I said to him, "What happened?"

He said, "I'm an ex window washer."

I asked, "When did you quit?"

He said, " Less than halfway down."

Quitting!

I made a recent blog post about plateauing when losing weight and how it can lead to quitting.  Plateauing is when you have been successfully losing weight and you suddenly stop.  What has been working for weeks or months is no longer working.

I got to thinking about the correlation regarding our home biz, and realized that I hit a huge plateau when I started in Internet Marketing...a plateau of ZERO!   I was going forward as far as learning, but my physical results did not want to change.

We hear and we read:  "Just tough it out.  Hang in there . Don't quit."  Well, I realized that it is not so easy to tough it out and hang in there and not quit, when nothing is happening!

It takes a huge amount of faith to not quit, but what if we do not have a huge amount of faith?

If what you are doing is not working in Internet Marketing, before you quit, try making a few changes.  I believe that my ultimate cause of plateauing at ZERO was my lack of knowledge.  Years ago, there were virtually no short cuts, today there are many.

Shortcuts to prevent quitting!

The short cuts that I am referring to are:

Shorten your learning curve

Seek 'done for you' options

In order to shorten your learning curve, seek accelerated learning and training sites.  You will be able to follow in others footsteps who have been there, done that.  Your benefit is a fast track to knowledge and training and these sites also come with a huge amount of quality support.  My 'slow track' has been to learn all that does not work first...not a good alternative.

'Done for you" does not mean that you do not work.  It means that the site or the system or the process is already in place and you simply follow it.  Your benefit is that much of the learning curve has been eliminated, you just follow directions.  You can usually see immediate or almost immediate results!

My point is that instead of quitting, make a change.  You made a decision to grow a business from home, it is still a good decision, probably one of the best decisions that you have ever made!  Do not change your decision, do not quit, simply change what you are doing.

I thank you for reading, my friends, and wish you much success.
