Peter Tork Of The Monkees Rest In Peace

Peter Tork passed away today from a rare form of cancer.
The Monkees is a rock group that came to fame in the mid-1960s.

Peter Tork Tribute

Peter is credited with stating in an interview that the emotional age of the Monkees was 13!  That number might have been a bit too high.  On the other hand, part of their extraordinary public appeal was their innocence.

The Monkees TV Show First Episode

The Monkees TV Show ran from 1966 to 1968.  It was crazy, zany, and fun.  The inspiration for the Monkees hi-jinks was a spin-off of two zany movies by the Beatles, Hard Day's Night in 1964 and Help in 1965.

The Monkees Theme Song

The public hungered for their child-like antics. 
Peter was the bass player for the group.

Peter Tork and the Monkees have made an indelible mark on the face of music and rock and roll. 

I, for one, love their music and experienced true joy at reviewing some of the Monkees songs and their theme song.

I thank you, Peter Tork, along with Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz, and Michael Nesmith.
