I was recently at the 1st ever UK MLM Internet Summit and I was very fortunate to have 3 days of training by Diane Hochman and Daegan Smith. They are both amazing speakers and have very different strategies but similar results.
Daegan’s business is built on the foundations and principles of Maximum Leverage and he began his training by sharing a 2000 year old principle that has been the cornerstone of all he achieves:
“Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world. ” Archimedes, 220 BC.
Internet Leverage is a method of being able to accomplish a huge amount with minimal investment and is considered as one of the most powerful techniques employed by internet business owners.
Put simply, it is the ability to make lots of money in an internet business without taking up too much of your time, money, or effort. An example of internet leverage is investing your money on automated internet systems that are easy to set up and can function on their own.
Using leverage in any business is simply using the help, resources, influence and power of others to achieve your own goals and dreams.
It would be difficult to achieve your goals alone, although not impossible, it would certainly take a lot longer.
What can we use as Leverage?
1. TIME A hugely valuable resource and every moment of your time must be doing some form of income generating activity.
Find ways to outsource some of your work whether it is your technical issues, website design, graphics, article writing or even blog posts – anything that creates frustration or slows you down.
There are a range of good outsourcing sites where you can find highly skilled people to do this work for you at a very reasonable price. Here are just a few:

2. MONEY How can you create a cash flow that will allow you to re-invest in your business for activities such as advertising.
Try leading with a funded proposal. Create a product such as an ebook that you can sell for a nominal fee that will provide value to the purchaser but produce a profit for you. Put simply:
Product = Money = Advertising = Leads = Money = FREEDOM
3. EXPERTISE Attend trainings, seminars, summits etc and learn from the experts. What can you learn that you can teach other people and add value to their lives? So many of the tips and strategies you will learn are very simple and quick to implement. There is always someone who knows less than you or has more frustrations so solve their problems with your new found knowledge.
4. LEVERAGE REPUTATIONS OF INDUSTRY LEADERS Can you leverage the reputation of the experts and gurus? By attending trainings and summits you will have the opportunity to meet some of these people and possible work with them. Will they provide a testimonial for you – either written or video? Can you be seen to be associating with the best people and so create a reputation for yourself as a leader.
WHO CAN YOU WORK WITH or BRING VALUE TOO in your industry that will get you exposure? Can you make the leaders money in their business and/or add value to them?

5. SOCIAL PROOF People buy from people and visitors to your website want the reassurance from others that you are a reputable, honest and reliable person and someone who is going to enhance their lives. Only after they have this will they opt-in to your list or buy your product.
Invite people to comment on your blog or facebook posts. Ask people to shoot a testimonial video about you if you have provided them with real value. Perhaps they can write a testimonial for you.
Provide lots of valuable content all over the internet so if people search for you they will find lots of amazing articles and videos with you solving problems for people.
6. YOUR LIST Your list is your most valuable asset in so many ways but the most powerful is when they start promoting you themselves. If they receive lots if value from you and you solve their problems their positive experience will prompt them to tell others. Word of Mouth Marketing is by far the most valuable sort!
7. COLLABORATION Can you get a group of people together who will pool their financial resources for you all to purchase some quality advertising. The total sum of this group is greater than any one individual and so you have greater power and reach in your marketing activities.
These are just a few very simple but very powerful ways in which you can create massive leverage in your business. If you ever hear Daegan Smith share his epiphany moment it is when he realised this concept and he set to work to achieve his dreams.
