MLM Leads With Or Without A Budget

We’re going to talk a little about getting MLM leads. I had the opportunity to watch a really great video today and wanted to share a few points with you. When you are getting started with your new MLM business opportunity you are so excited to share it with others. The question is who it will be. You are then told that getting in touch with your ‘warm market’ better known as ‘family and friends’ will get you started. Actually, because of the negative responses and the capacity for ruined relationships; especially if this isn’t the first business you’ve presented to them, most MLM network marketers will use some type of leads program.
It can’t be avoided even if you sign up every relative and friend eventually you’ve got to get some leads to talk and share your MLM opportunity with. The main question is where to get them, how to get them and how much is it going to cost. I know you’re thinking that you should have leads and money for them already in place, because that’s how it’s made to seem; this is not how most start out though. Like me most get excited at the prospect of building a business and have no clue who they will be talking to at all. My upline was always asking me about my list and I would whine back at them that there was no one to put on a list, but if I had kept that frame of mind where would I be? It’s ok; there are many great possibilities and I will give you a few to use.
There are way too many people on the unemployment rolls, just tired of the jobs they do have, or just need and want more in life to not have SOMEBODY to talk to about your opportunity!! Let’s get started!
Now like I said before there are many lead programs that you can use to purchase leads if you have the funds. For some this is the way to go and they only use this strategy for building their business. Don’t think that you don’t still have to do the work of qualifying your prospects and learning what their needs are just the same. Having a MLM lead doesn’t mean they will just automatically fit your MLM business opportunity. You can investigate through your search engine ‘MLM leads’ to find which programs are workable for you.
On the other hand there are those who feel that purchasing leads is a waste of time and money. Maybe you don’t feel comfortable yet calling people you don’t know or maybe you don’t have the funds and you need to begin building like RIGHT NOW!! Being a little creative is the key. Remember I had no list and I didn’t mention it before, but I had been an introvert and needed to find a way to get out and meet people other than those who were with me in the same business opportunity. The best place I found was “MeetUp”, and imagine how delighted I was to find that many other MLM Leaders agree.
At MeetUp you are able to find all types of groups and social gatherings in your local area with people who share your interests. It’s even possible to start your own group. For most MeetUp gatherings the cost is minimal, but the reward of finding people of like-minds and interests is great. People who attend these events and gatherings are about having more life and are an excellent choice to network and build your business.
I told you before that being creative was key to your success. When funds are low and you’ve got to do something to just get started the best and most creative person I’ve come across yet is Larry Beacham. Like me he had no list and no marketing budget. There are two ideas I know best and one that I tried with good results. I actually got leads from what he calls his ‘Mobile Classified’. This is where you place post it notes in high traffic areas touting your business opportunity. He was placing from 30 to 100 per day and getting a pretty fantastic turnover. That’s all you need; get calls so you can get people to your presentation.
His second idea was surprising! Generating MLM leads with ‘bandit signs’. Yep, those signs you see along the highways, or on a busy street corner asking if you’re the one who wants to make money. You’ve seen them. The important thing is to be clear and specific or you could be bombarded with the wrong people. Want to make money? Work Part-time? Call this number! This works the same with your post it notes, too! I have also used flyers tied to light poles by bus stops and it is especially good for those disappointed in some way with their jobs. Seeing your sign gives them the possibility of MORE in their life.
You have a few things to consider and play around with in building MLM leads for the growth of your business. Give them a try and leave a comment about your results. To your success!
