Your daily blog is an essential tool in the marketing process of your on-line business. You see, it will allow people to see your thoughts, ideas and views and allow them to get a perspective of your personality.
With this in mind, it is paramount that your daily blog offers added value and that the content is informative to the reader. You need to ensure that you are making the most of your blog as well. And that you are creating the right impression by being friendly, professional and helpful to everyone that has taken the time to visit and interact with you on your daily blog.
So let’s take a look at what you can do to create a successful daily blog.
Take time to comment on other blogs, and perhaps visit the people who have left you comments. Check out what they are doing and add a comment or two on their blogs. This way you will get some ideas and a link back to your own site but also add to the conversation on theirs. A win-win situation!
Remember to use the social network sites to promote your blog entry, not just the usual Facebook, Twitter and Myspace, but try some others too. Sites such as Digg and Squidoo may be worth a try. Don’t forget to remind people every so often about particular favourite blog posts, as your followers may just have missed it the first time out.
Look for other blogs and promote them. These could be new blogs that are in their infancy and need a helping hand or industry specific ones. Both of these are invaluable to your own daily blog as they will attract new visitors to all concerned. You should never be scared of showing or linking other blogs, as this just adds to your credibility of being knowledgeable about your field of expertise.
You should start to see comments and pingbacks to your blog. Take a moment of your time to assess these to ensure that they are suitable to be associated with your business. If so, approve them and reply to some ... this will just add to the reader’s experience and promote further interaction with your daily blog.
Above all though, you must enjoy writing your blog posts. Don’t allow them to become a chore, as this will be evident in your content and will only result in your followers being put off and will not make them feel like returning.
