Why I Joined Club IBO

     I tend to a rather frugal guy, so I tend to a mite cautious about signing up for things which require additional payments every month. Until very recently here on IBO I've been content to earn free advertising credits through my writing of press releases and other activities. That gave me enough credits to maintain one of my own banners at the top of my IBO Social profile at all times.

     Nevertheless, I acknowledge the value of paying for advertising when it is likely there could be a good return on that investment. Paying for advertising on other websites has resulted in more sign-ups and subsequent commissions. So I finally decided to give Club IBO a try, and I paid the required $19.99 for my first month.

     Having all those additional IBO ad credits, with 4,000 more each week when I use the new coupon code, has let me post more banner ads in more places. I enjoy creating GIF banners and I started by making one a new one for use here, then a second one, and then a third one. They are now running on the IBO wall and a few of the other IBO pages. Those first three banners that I've put up are each 468x60 in size, and each uses up 3 ad impressions each time they are shown. They are getting click-through rates of 4% to 5%, which I like very much.

     Even with those 3 banners running and being clicked quite regularly, I saw that I still had a good amount of ad credits. So today I took my advertising up a notch. After all, this is the time of year when our marketing should be given our best efforts. So, this morning, I created a 728x90 banner and set it to be shown in the “IBOBox Top” spot, even though it will use up 10 ad impressions each time it is shown.

     As of when I'm writing this press release, that 728x90 banner has only been up for about a half hour. It has been displayed 13 times so far, but has already been clicked twice. That is a click-through rate of 15%. I don't know whether that high rate will keep going, but so far I am quite happy I'm giving this a try.

     I'm also paying for advertising on some other sites that are working well for me. Maybe I will discover that spending $19.95 a month here for Club IBO is an excellent way to help my business to continue to grow.

     So, if you see a banner at the top of IBO that is a little larger version of the one below, you'll know that I'm liking the benefits of being a Club IBO member.
