With the ever increasing number of business opportunities available and coming on stream, the many so-called gurus and experts trying to get you to part with your hard earned money, it is imperative and simply makes sense to do one's Due Diligence, before making the commitment to join a business opportunity.
Why Due Diligence?
When we purchase Insurance, whether for our homes, cars, life or or health, we are buying security from loss. Monetary loss especially; both ourselves and to others.
Due Diligence is similarly to insurance, in that we are trying to protect ourselves from loss, loosing our hard earned money, (and possible our health, due to frustration and stress etc.)
Doing ones Due Diligence is not joining a company or Opportunity mainly because one's friends and acquaintances have joined or are in it; not merely because it has what you consider to be a "good pay plan", or because of reports of some some folks
making money or have earned money.
In doing our Due Diligence we are trying to reduce our risk as much as possible.
What are we looking for?
We want to know about the history of the business, its owner/s and management team, their backgrounds etc, its financial stability; we want to know about its product and or service, we want to know of success stories and testimonies from others, we want to know about the way it markets, the size of the market, the reputation (branding) of the company. We want to know as much as possible about the business so we can make a decision based on facts.
