Getting rid of 'clutter' Make your PC run faster! It is good practice to remove unwanted files from your PC This has two benefits. 1. It will allow your PC to run faster. 2. It will free up valuable disk space. You might want to spring clean your computer What is Defragmentation? Defragmentation is a process of reducing the amount of fragmentation present in a hard drive. Every time you add, edit or delete files, new sequence is either added or removed from the hard drive and file sequences are being unevenly distributed, this is how it gets clutter and your computer slows down. How to perform defragmentation? Clear the holes and clutter... Windows users are already equipped with a pre-installed Disk Defragmenter utility NOTE: You might want to do this before you go to bed because it is a two step process Go to the start button --Click my computer --Find your hard drive --Right click on the C local disk --Go to Properties --Go to Disk Cleanup This will open a window where there will be files that are clicked that needs to be deleted Make sure they are all check then click okay Then it will say are you sure you want to clean up your computer --Click yes If you have not done this before or have not clean up your computer for some time it will take a little time, I did my own and it took about 30 minutes Go to tools after that is done, you should still be in the Properties window --Click on defragment now It could take hours that is why it is a good idea to do the defragmentation before bed and let it run --Click okay and let it run You will see after you restart your computer the next day it will run quicker. You should do this about every 3 months. So much to learn so little time... But it is a quicker way to learn all of these things in one place. Take a tour of everything you can learn, its like a quick internet mini college course for Internet Marketing Click the link below http://ibourl.com/1e1k Lois
