Welcome to my IBOSocial page. My wife and I live in a converted barn in the southwestern part of North Carolina with scenic mountain views. We have been married for over 49 years and have one son, three granddaughters and one grandson: our 50th anniversary is Sep 28, 2018. I retired as an aerospace engineer after 31 years in middle Georgia.
Prior to my retirement I evaluated structural defects in the bodies of Air Force cargo planes and helicopters. I designed and developed repairs for these defects; I obtained contractor support to develop structural modifications to preclude these defects from occurring in other Air Force aircraft. I also managed the design, development, and testing of a 450 gallon non-metallic, filament-wound, crash-survivable, external fuel tank for a rescue helicopter. This was probably the most interesting and exciting project I managed.
After my retirement I decided to become involved in some type of home or online business to supplement my retirement income. I am currently involved with direct selling of products that defend people and their homes. I started this business because I was concerned with changes in our culture, which has become less safe during my lifetime. Consequently, I became an independent distributor of self defense and personal security products. I also do wood burning and can transform photos or drawings on to wood plaques. 
For my son's birthday in 2015, I took the emblem from the grill of the first car he purchased (1994 Mustang) and mounted it on a piece of white pine and highlighted it with a wood-burned message.
