Exposure is everything!
What do I mean by exposure? Exposure is to present your prospect with your product or service that allows them to make an informed decision. The quality and the nature of your exposure will determine whether or not your prospect buys. It is important to understand that you are the most important reason why somebody will join your business, not the company, not the product, not the service, not the saving $5 million on vacations, it is you! Also, if you do not present you will not be building a business or a client base.
My first recommendation is to formulate a question that tweaks their interest to get them curious enough to get to the next step. That step is the presentation. Below I have listed the top ways to present to your prospect based on what i have experience to give me the highest closing ratio.
This is based on my 12 years of experience successfully building a business within Immunotec Research, here are my top five!
Exposure 1: Face-to-face meeting! Coffee shop, Kitchen table, Their home or office, etc.
Exposure 2: Attending a group presentation or workshop! Hotel, In your home, library, etc.
Exposure 3: Three-way conference call with your sponsor! Using your sponsor's credibility and experience, someone you know is much more likely to listen to someone they do not know.
Exposure 4: Personal telephone invite to a webinar! Take the time to personally invite a prospect to watch a webinar or listen to a conference call, then follow up and ask what impressed them the most.
Exposure 5: Over the phone presentation! This required the most skill and experience on your part. I never recommend this to someone just getting started.
Critical to your success is being consistent on a daily basis. Discipline trumps talent every time and the combination of excellent exposures and good follow-up will result in a massive business.
Additionally, as soon as you figure out your why, then the how will appear. Most people fail because right at that point of breakthrough they either quit or change companies. I have seen that with dozens of individuals that I personally know that are kicking themselves right now. Why did I not just stay in?
My commitment to those that I sponsor is to support, guide and help the best that I can in teaching them what works. Success is inevitable, if it is your choice and if you make a decision to commit and never give up. Choose a company with a proven track record, publicly traded, renewable or consumable product or service, a huge expanding marketplace, solid leadership and have someone willing to coach you, you will succeed.
Personally, I hired myself a coach and spent on average about $400 a month for a year. One of my top leaders, did the same and within nine months had tripled his business, he was weak in the knees when the Courier was on there way to him with a check for $10,000. It is a great feeling to watch your income grow and it's even a better feeling watching those that you've helped achieve great success.
They talk about success in this business as being a numbers game. Although, I do agree in part with that statement, I must qualify it by saying that quality trumps quantity every day of the week. The quality of your exposure to a qualified prospect will do wonders for your business. I do my best to pre-qualify any new consultant or distributor that I sponsor. I do my best not to prejudge because you never know who they know. They may not be a leader yet! However, they may know half a dozen or so leaders, expose them to their business, sponsor them, and presto they're your new leader.
Best of Health,
