If you want to be successful in your email marketing, you need to build a list..... period! So the next question or object should be how to build a list.
It all starts with getting people to opt-in to your list. You’re building a strategy around communicating with the people that opt-in. Your lists are the most important piece of the puzzle. Successful email marketing is a result of sending relevant content. If you have no list and are starting from scratch we suggest you create a lead capture page and start collecting names and email addresses. A high-converting lead capture page is the main point of your follow-up marketing system. Unfortunately, getting people to opt-in through your lead capture page can be just as difficult as getting people to read and respond to the ads you place online.
Unlike testing ads however, testing lead capture page pitches and follow-up email messages can get very difficult and if you’re already a novice, then it’s enough to make you give up all together however it is extremely necessary. I always split test my lead capture page to see what pulls the best.
