How To Manage A Busy Life
Do you feel like you do not have enough time for yourself? You should read these tips and make a few changes to your lifestyle.
Reassess your priorities. Perhaps you are spending too much time on things that do not really matter. You should spend at least one hour everyday doing things that you really enjoy. Ask yourself which people really matter to you and do not waste your time with the people who will not be here for you when you need them. Focus on your family members and find out who your true friends are. Do not make changes overnight: take the time to reflect about your life and give yourself the time to come up with the right answers. If you cannot come up with anything on your own, make an appointment with a life coach, a psychiatrist, a doctor or a career counselor.
What have you accomplished in your life so far? Putting together a list of your greatest accomplishments should give you a better idea of what really matter to you. If you cannot think of a lot of things you have accomplished, perhaps you should find a way to make your life more meaningful, for instance by doing some volunteer work for a non-profit organization. Make a second list of things you want to accomplish and focus on working toward these things instead of spending your time on activities that will not impact your life.
How much do material possessions matter to you? If you are spending too much time at work, it is likely that you are driven by financial gain. Take some time off work and learn how to enjoy other things. Nothing can replace spending time with your family: make this a priority and accept to earn a little less money in exchange. You should also find an activity that helps you learn more about yourself as an individual. You will not be so interested in material possessions once you have found other things that make you feel complete.
Find a way to manage your schedule and your stress. Do not expect to get rid of all your obligations overnight. Try practicing yoga or a similar activity to reduce your stress and focus on your work so you can be more efficient. Adopting a strict schedule could help you be more productive and get more free time. Plan things in advance so you can get everything done on time. If you cannot manage your schedule because of the pressure, talk to your employer and take a few weeks off. Going away on a vacation is a great way to relax, spend time with the people you love and do some thinking about your life in a relaxing atmosphere.
Use these tips to make a few changes to your lifestyle and perhaps focus on the things that matter the most to you instead of your job or other obligations. Even though you are under a lot of pressure at the moment, remember that things will get better once you are willing to take action.

| | | | | Thanks for the blog Lenny, I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here...GO IBO |
| | | | | Taking time to prioritize will relieve pressure and free up time for other obligations. |
| | | | | I agree with all your points here. Time is our most important - precious - asset. Prioritizing is a big first step - Delegation is another. In our world we can help so many by delegating out those things we know we shouldn't be doing ourselves - and for far less than most people think |
