Are You Spamming Or Are You Being Valuable?

For most marketers, they feel that they are never spamming, just sharing.

 

But, if we really break it down, we may find that we do spam from time to time, and facing the reality of it can be the way to stop it.

 

 

What Is Spam?

 

It's easy to figure out.

 

Spam is unwanted messages, email, and comes as mostly sales pitches.

 

Basically, if no one asked for your link, then it's spam.

 

If you do not know the person you send the link to, then it's spam.

 

So if it's that easy to figure out, how do we keep from spamming?

 

 

What To Do Instead Of Spamming

 

First off, never send a link to anyone who doesn't ask for it.

 

It's fine to add a link to a social profile on your signature, for them to learn more if they wish. But never tell them there is a great thing or opportunity and send a link if they did not ask.

 

It's best to first learn their needs.

 

First, learn what problems they may have.

 

Know that your link will lead to a solution to a problem they are facing. When done this way, people actually will click and buy what you have.

 

If they ask you to send them a link, then your odds of sale have just increased a lot.
