******************************************* "Stop trying to fit in when you were born to stand out!" ******************************************* People overwhelmingly fear the word "NO". In fact the word "NO" is so paralyzing, most folks do not even leave the "Starting Gate" because of the fear they have of getting a "NO". Here's a few more reasons why people fail. They decide that it’s just too hard or they don’t want to put forth the effort. They want to blame everything and everybody for not being successful. They fall for the “Lets get rich quick” scheme. They feel like the world owes them. They are a perfectionist. They over analyze everything. Let’s just say that they have paralysis of analysis.
Here’s a quote on the subject from one of my mentor’s, Mr David Lundgren. "People spend way to much time working for others. When it comes time to putting that same effort into building their personal business - many make excuses. If they would focus and invest the same 8 hours a day into their own business, they would not be going to work." Ya know, I think he's spot-on!

 | | Amazing site! And excellent blog! |
| | | | | Great advice for home business success...put in same effort working for yourself that you do working for someone else. So many excuses to keep people in the cubicle and in the commute...even in the Information Age. |
| | | | | Travis, I absolutely agree that in many cases, maybe even most, the person failing must take the blame. All too often they don't take advantage of the training available to them. "You can lead a horse to water..." |
| | | | | you're right Merri, it's a combo. |
| | | | | Travis and Terri I feel there is a combination on this. As for me, I am a perfectionist (in some areas) and do over analyze things. This is my personal down fall and something I am working on to improve. Self improvement and training are always good. Sometimes we don't get the training till after we start something and have to be willing to put the effort into it to make it work. |
| | | | | I disagree Terry as there's more than one reason folks fail in this business. One big reason is that person looking back at him/her in the mirror. |
| | | | | There is only one reason people fail. Lack of skills, education and training. My advice is to get it before you begin your pursuit of residual income. ~Terri Pattio - MLM Coach/Mentor with a servant's heart |
