As we have seen in my previous postings, AmeriPlan offers a variety of membership programs that provide significant savings on doctors visits, eyeglasses and the like, savings that can make a real difference in a family’s budget. But what other savings can AmeriPlan offer you?
Our flagship program, the Platinum FreedomPass membership, provides for savings on visits to one of our nationwide network of over 30,000 dentists. For example, your fees for an initial dental exam can be reduced from as much as $120 down to $32. A regular cleaning can cost as much as $117 without any discount. With an AmeriPlan membership, only $46. A root canal can cost as much as $993. By just presenting your AmeriPlan card your fees can be reduced to only $375. That is a 60% savings on one procedure alone!
Does this program actually work? Yes! Just ask the member who was told she needed a root canal, to the tune of $945. She signed up with AmeriPlan, received her dental work and was given a bill for $375! She soon found out that she needed 2 more root canal and some fillings. Over all, she saved $2,200, all because she joined AmeriPlan.
What about chiropractors? Can you save money on those visits too? Absolutely! When you visit one of our 7,500 participating chiropractors, you get a free initial consultation. You will also save 50% on all diagnostic services and required x-rays. You get 30% savings on treatments and most other services, including massages. AmeriPlan offers a hospital advocacy program to its Healthcare, Total Platinum and Platinum Freedom Pass members. Just notify the advocacy team as soon as your anticipated hospital fees exceed $2500. You will be assigned an advocate who will negotiate the best discount on the hospital and doctors fees, and work out a payment plan on any standing balance. Any remaining fees will be determined based on your ability to pay. And yes, this actually works! One member, who previously had no insurance coverage at all, joined AmeriPlan and just 5 days later had a massive heart attack. Of course, his hospital, specialist and testing fees were astronomical. The hospital advocacy team was assigned to his case and, based on his ability to pay, his fees were reduced over $100,000! And this is not an isolated case. Another member had hospital bills in excess of $33,000. The advocacy team was able to reduce her fees to less than $2,300, and establish a payment plan for the remainder. Another member was charged $6,000 for an overnight stay in a hospital. The hospital advocacy team reduced her bill to just $3,000, a 50% savings.
