From: Todd Oldfield For Joining Merchants;
Within our group we are starting to see more and more business interest in TheCustomerAdvantage.com. This of course is a Blessed thing. LOL I encourage everyone to get involved with their local Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Clubs, Retail & Restaurant associations and get the word out to them about TCA. These "centers of influence" are great ways to get the business ball rolling.
What I would like to do with this email though is just make sure that we start off on the right foot and make sure that new, incoming businesses are set up correctly, from the start with a system and understanding here about who, how, why, etc.
First is the "who". Who should be set up as a business and who should not be?
Only entities planning to be "featured" should ultimately be set up as a merchant. If you are a non-profit organization, or a church, or a scout troop or a Chamber of Commerce, or even a business in an industry what would not gain financially by our sort of offer, then you should remain and be setup as an individual.
Only businesses planning to be "featured' on the site should be set up as a merchant. And even that we do not do until you register as an individual first. It is the process of registering as an individual that brings you into the "earning" side of the business. The "merchant" setup is for setting up the "featured" side.
So, for now, everyone with a business interest should set themselves up FIRST, as individuals.
Next is the "how". How we register a business as an individual is simple. I know that there are not fields for "Business Name" in the individual sign up so for now, we enter the following; If the business was Joe's Hardware you would enter "Joe's" in the first name and "Hardware" in the last name and complete the registration process as an individual would.
See, don't forget, regardless of whether you are a merchant or not, the first goal should be to get set up so that you can EARNNNNNNNN! Unless you do not wish to earn (then please just substitute my name in all the fields and get to work). LOL
After you set up your individual account, then later on, when the company is ready, can we focus on setting up the business account.
Finally is the "why". PLEASE REMEMBER: TCA is in PRELAUNCH mode. The company will not be ready to run it's first "featured offers" for another 2-4 weeks more than likely. Because offers are ran on a "first-come, first-serve" basis it's easy to understand why everyone is in such a rush, but it's ok to relax, the company will have people and systems in place so that the creation of YOUR office will be smooth as glass. The most important thing you can be doing right now is building your group of subscribers. This way when it is your turn to shine, you already have 100s or 1000s of members eagerly awaiting your offering!
Once you have registered your business as an individual, and set yourself up to begin building your group, then contact your inviter, or feel free to reach out to me, and I will be glad to help you set up the merchant side as well. There is only so much we can do at this stage, again with the first offers still a few weeks away, but we can get you into the system and begin uploading some basic information on your business. I encourage every business owner to attend training sessions on Saturday's (when possible) or at least watch the recordings. These sessions are designed to be Q&A sessions so that anyone can drop by and get their questions answered, bring up topics, etc.
From this past Monday night's call with CEO, John Malinoski, we learned that the company will be launching a business campaign where they have outsourced a company to call 9 BILLION company contacts employed by 2.5 million companies and 30 national non-profits! They are going after celebrity endorcements and when this takes off, whoaaaaaaa nelly!
So, this is our time. Every one of us need to get positioned in our communities NOW. We need to be the ones to sign up our local businesses, take control of our local markets, so that when the there is this push of information out to the masses, we will be thought of as being "plugged in", "already connected", "already knowlegable" and more importantly, later "joiners" will be joining through US!
