Why Page Speed is Very Important for Your Business Marketing Strategy [Infographic]

If your website pages load slowly, many people will give up and will go to your competitors. You will lose traffic, customers, and money. Your conversion rates may suffer, and your bounce rates (the number of people who leave your site after only visiting one page) will increase. A slow-loading page also can affect your search engine optimization (SEO), as Google uses page speed as a determining factor for page rankings.

The infographic below shares the many reasons why website page speed should be at the top of your business marketing strategy.

In 2018, Google released an updated PageSpeed Insights API, which provides performance reports from both lab and field data on a page. Using the PageSpeed Insights API, you can test multiple URLs at once to get a better idea of our site’s overall performance and identify areas of our site that can be optimized for speed.

Before you follow optimization recommendations from PageSpeed Insights, it’s important to note that the tool often recommends actions that won’t improve user experience. You need to find a developer to help you.

For example, PageSpeed Insights may advise caching external files or serving images in WebP format, a file type that is not supported across all browsers. It’s important to consider the nuances of your site and your end users when looking at PageSpeed’s recommendations and determining if you should put them into action. You need to be sure that won’t negatively impact your site’s UX.

You want to create a better and faster website, not a disaster!
