You have to choose and accept the change in order to grow. Write yourself a pep talk. Write down all of your good characteristics. You can take this with you wherever you go, and review it when you want motivation. You can also try videotaping yourself reading your positive self-affirmations. Replay the video on a daily basis, as well as when you need to hear some positive news about yourself. What good would this do? Your body and mind run together in perfect harmony, so it stands to reason that the healthiness of one will impact on the healthiness of the other. Be sure to get plenty of exercise and nourishment. Don’t forget that a healthy body helps ensure a healthy mind. Getting out and living your life can really enhance your quest for personal development. Choose to take real action, everyday, towards your goals and dreams, instead of just watching others from the sidelines. If you are only watching your life go by, you are not experiencing what your life was meant to be. By taking care of your physical health, you will be helping every area of self improvement. Keep yourself energized by eating right, sleeping soundly, and exercising every day so that you will have the best chance of achieving your goals. This gets you out into a social setting, but does not require you to socialize to the point where you are uncomfortable. This will help get you used to being in the same vicinity with lots of different people. Instead of boasting about trophies, awards, and medals, try asking others about their achievements. This allows you to discover some of the great things that people around you are capable of accomplishing, which helps you to respect others by giving you insight into their character. No one is perfect, and we all make bad food choices sometimes. Don’t obsess over the minor details of life all the time as stress is no better for you than a piece of chocolate is. Quality Level If the quality level of today is 2000, try to make tomorrow’s quality level 2001 or higher. Strive for constant and unceasing improvement. This attitude will help you stay motivated and focused on your development, so improve something daily. When engaging in self improvement, tell yourself that you want to be better because you deserve better. Always remember that you owe yourself your best effort. Think of your self improvement as a lifestyle change and continue making new goals for yourself. Taking occasional risks, on a small level, can help you lead a happier life! Many people stay in their comfort zones to avoid rejection or failure, so they aren’t as happy or fulfilled. It takes courage to take risks, but doing so can help make you happier for the future. Avoid pushing yourself too far, especially in terms of physical limitations. While no one can argue the importance of giving 100 percent, you must nonetheless take care of yourself. You have to keep your body in mind when you are trying to accomplish something. Sacrificing what your body needs is counter-productive in improving yourself.
