“True leaders are not annoyed by people's failures, they are challenged by them. A good leader remains optimistic.” - Dr Myles Munroe
People and situations will disappoint you. Although you may show your disappointment to your followers, don't let it get you down. If you are demotivated by your disappointments, it will rub off very quickly on those you lead.
A good leader will show his humanness, by showing his frustration, but then using it as impetus to see the challenge as an opportunity to overcome. The leader remains optimistic, and thereby encourages his followers to persevere and have the same attitude. He models the character he wants to develop in his followers. (This applies in the office, on the sports field and in the home)
What are you modeling for your followers?
I am always optimistic
I take my leadership responsibility seriously
I am a great leader
Be all you can be.
With Fond Regards
