The two most powerful motivators I know are "pain" and "gain".
To avoid pain we are capable of the most amazing things. And to gain something of value, you could do the impossible.
And that is very important when trying to move beyond your limitations.
Let's talk about avoiding the pain first.
Ask this question:
“How much pain is this personal limit causing me?”
How much pain, psychological, physical, social, material or spiritual have you endured because you have not broken through a limitation?
The answer to this question is different for every person.
Some people experience deep loneliness because they have not broken a limitation with regard to relationships. Maybe they don't have the people skills or they are too shy, or too proud.
Others suffer from great financial difficulty because they have not stepped beyond their limits and started a venture that would turn their finances around. Or they don't know about that course that will teach them the skills to help them become successful.
Others refuse to face the demons of their past because of fear. So they live in bondage to their habits and addictions that drive them toward self-destruction time after time.
Others simply have settled for second best and the pain has become so bearable that they hardly feel it. They settle for the marriage that is only so-so. They are spiritually dead, but they don't even know it. They think they could be healthier/fitter/slimmer, but don't even try to get there.
But there are thousands who simply have no pain at all because they have stopped dreaming.
It is when you dream of something better that you become frustrated with what you have. It is when you think what could be, that you become aware of what you do not have. When you get frustrated to the point where it becomes almost painful, then you start releasing your potential. Then the pain of what you don't have drives you to want to achieve it. Then you will move beyond your limits. Then you will move mountains. You will stay up late to study, invest money to learn, and sacrifice so you can have what you dream of.
DREAM BIG! Then get frustrated with what is not, so you can become motivated to move beyond your limits.
I am sick and tired of where I am
I want … (fill in the blanks)
I will break through my limitations to get it
Be all you can be.
With Fond Regards

|Great information! The key is to know that our current state does not define us, and that we do have the power to change our current state and to create a better state! It is all a work in progress! Focusing on the state we desire ourselves to be in does accelerate the emergence of it!|
