Have you ever been involved with a really great home business and after a long time passes you look back to the very first week you began? Well, everyone comes into this arena with different backgrounds, experiences, knowledge, etc.
For me, I can clearly recall having to make a difficult transition from being a traditional small business owner, an employee to someone else then becoming an independent business owner! I specifically remember how excited I was about my new venture so I made a common mistake. I spoke! I spoke to everyone & anyone who would listen! The problem was I was not properly "launched or trained". Basically I really had no clue what I was really saying! I was not yet informed enough about my business! This led me into what myself & my coworkers call the "NFL" club. NO FRIENDS LEFT --- and you're family runs in the opposite direction when they see you. Smile ;)
Well, I went to what I like to call the school of hard knocks, and I was schooled all right! I still to this day look back at some people who are dear friends of mine, who wouldn't do the most simple thing to help me out in the beginning. To this day, they still wouldn't do the same thing if I asked again, but now, I know better then to even bother!
There are unfortunately Negative people in the world. Maybe I just caught some at a bad time, on a bad day, but there are those select few individuals, like a childhood friend you've always been close with, who DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU SUCCEED! They don't want to see anyone be happy and prosper or be more successful then they are. Why? I'm sure there are many reasons. But here's my point.....
As time has passed, and these people do see or hear about your success they will probably speak to you less and less. This used to really bother me. If it bothers you, GET OVER IT NOW! For the longest time, I wanted to drive to a particular friends house & hold up a copy of one of my pay stubs in her face and say "I Told You So"...you should have jumped in with me blah blah blah.
I'm proud to say that as tempted as I may have been, I held back. I NEVER said a single word. This person, these negative people don't deserve my time, or yours either. Don't waste your breath! (ok, a family member may be different) ???
It's EASY to say I Told You So, but it's much harder to say nothing at all.
