Getting To The Mountain Top!

Getting to the mountain top for most of the people who would be reading this article, represents 'achievement' or the status of 'I have arrived'

Why do people use the metaphor of a mountain when wanting to explain something?

I personally like the spiritual song "you don't have to move my mountain just give me the strength to climb". A mountain represents something daunting; something huge and challenging.

Maybe it's an obstacle in our lives we are trying to over come. Whatever is your particular case that mountain is Big and obtuse. And after getting to the top, we feel a great accomplishment.
Think about this; why do people climb mountains? Just to get to the top? No.
Well that's part of it. But I believe people like to climb mountains because of the thrill of the journey. And this is really what I want to focus this article about. "The Journey to the top"

The joy of getting to the top of my network marketing business is all about the journey. A lot of people focus too much on building their network marketing business that they miss out on the journey. The road to success is paved with a lot of pot holes and if you only look at the pot holes in the road you miss the beautiful cherry blossoms along side of the road.

My journey has been just that, a lot of pot holes and challenges, however I have met some incredible people. And we have developed some wonderful relationships and lasting memories that I can reflect upon many times over.

So my suggestion to anyone who is trying to build any business, network marketing or otherwise. Is to enjoy the journey, don't focus so much on the business as to miss out on the special things that occur as you are building.

My suggestion is to HAVE FUN! Do you think mountain climbers are having fun as they climb? or do you think they are complaining about their poles, ropes, shoes etc etc.
So lets not complain about our prospects, upline, company etc. Just take a page out of my mentor Jim Rhon's book when something you don't like happens to you say " isnt that interesting" I think you will find in that small mental shift a lot of power.

Well I hope you got some value out of this little article. I will see you at the top!!
