Easing Telephone Anxiety

Telephone anxiety got you, would you like to start all your calls with positive anticipation about the call and your prospect. Ever wonder what the difference between anxiety and anticipation is? Well its only about two and a half inches! How do I know this, well here's what works for me and it takes less than a 1 minute to do this simple technique. So here's the deal, give it a try and have fun with it!

Next time you are feeling anxiety about making that call or whatever, stand up nice and straight, close your eyes, relax and take a deep breath. Now take a minute and notice where you feel the anxiety and place the tip of your middle and apply gentle pressure against your stomach ( I usually feel it about mid way between my navel and the tip of the sternum ). Now with gentle pressure SLOWLY start to raise your finger up towards your sternum about two and a half inches, as you are doing this notice what you are feeling and how it changes from anxiety at the point where you started to anticipation at the point where you stopped. This also changes your energy from feeling hesitant about what you are going to say to feeling very positive about what you have to offer your prospect. You can do this any time, any where, even will having a conversation with someone and you have that feeling come on, you can do this and nobody will notice except yourself, also take note of how the conversation changes. Have fun with this and you can also change your thoughts or visualize while doing this too!
