So you want to come to California. Well please bring your own income. California job situation is not good. The state has big budget cuts & it is not finish yet. State Workers have been working a 4 day work week. Big Companies come here because California demands their presents. California is one of the world largest economies. There is a lot of money to be made here if you can find a niche market. Northern California & the southern part are different. The southern part is more everything. Faster, harder & dangerous . Lot more money made too.
The laws in California are not always in your favor either. The weather tends to be sunny which is a good thing. Divorce in this state favors the non bread winner. California push 1/2 in the marriage. If you pass away without a will and have a lot of things. California will get greedy.
Going probate is a blood bath also.
Licenses for anything is expensive. If you program require a license.
State politicians are crooks often. California sometimes do world class weird things. Example: Weed is legal and you can buy it at brick and mortar locations. Gay population is very visible & powerful. If someone rob you and it is under $950. the Police or Attorney General will not do their jobs. They put that in the local newspaper.
Cost of living here is very high. $1000. for 1 average 1 bedroom apt is normal. Gas, food are high cost also. Cities are going bankrupt here. Stockton a nearby city from where I live is declaring bankrupt. I live in Elk Grove. It is part of the Sacramento community.
If you choose to come here make sure you have a great support system.
But I will live in California & I do love living here. I found my niche market. Internet market.
You must have a formula that works.
