We can learn from watching films.

We can learn from watching films.

Watching a film about a pro golfer’s life story saved my life one time when I was much younger and I hadn’t been driving but for a few years.

The part of the film that saved my life was the scene where the pro golfer character was driving on a mountainous two lane road in thick fog conditions and he suddenly comes up on this other vehicle towing a trailer or something large like that. I’m just trying to remember the story.

After slowing down quickly he piped his horn and started to get angry because he wanted to get to the destination as soon as possible.

His frustration with the slow moving vehicle was growing and he hadn’t seen any other cars on the road coming the other way. In his frustration he decided to take a chance and over take this slow moving vehicle. When he did this and got partway round, suddenly there appeared headlights of another vehicle coming toward him. An accident happened just in that moment. This is the part that stuck with me, and what saved my life.

One day when I was coming back from some sports practice at school, I had pulled over at a roadside station to get a drink and something to eat. It had already started getting fogy when I got there, and while I was in the store it got a bit worse.

I sat there for a while with what I had to eat and drink and then decided to proceed on home. I knew if I took it carefully I would be fine. I knew the road well anyway.

I think I had gotten about a mile or so away from the station and driving at about 45-50 mph, I suddenly come up on the back of a large white van, the back of it was all white except for the bumper. This van had no lights on at all and it was moving very slowly like about 35-40 mph. I put my brakes on quickly and nearly hit it and with a quick knee-jerk reaction, I swerved into the oncoming lane. That is when the image from the film popped into my head. I then swerved again into the wide hard shoulder lane, and just after I did this a lorry or large transport truck come straight between us, and this all happened so suddenly I couldn’t believe what had just happened. The lights looming in front of me and coming up fast was a frightening experience because the fog was too thick to see very far in front. That is when I realised that seeing that scene in that particular film saved my life.

When you are in business for yourself you have to learn everyday about new things or ways of getting your business noticed so the 1-2 percent of the people that see your advert will become a customer and you build on that each day and each week or month that goes by.

Well what we need in business to really shake things up and get more customers and sell our products fast is to stir up an emotional response to what we are selling and get the public’s interest.

Have you ever really watched the film Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory?

He created a worldwide response to his chocolate bars by hiding a golden ticket in the chocolate with a prize reward of a visit to his factory. The response was tremendous.

These days, the prize modern stores use to attract customers on a regular basis is the use of loyalty points, and this gets people coming through their doors on a regular basis.

The key word here is getting people to visit their store or website as some cases may be. You have to find a way to get visitors in every way you can on the Internet because there is so much competition.

I found a way to attract more of the right sort of people to my site and I wanted to share it here with the IBO Toobox family.

Here is the place to go and start getting more people to your site: Brand new marketing system delivers leads & commissions:
