Viper Cache Review - It just works - does exactly what it says on the tin - vital for Google ranking!

Viper Cache, a plugin that claims to speed up your Wordpress website loading does exactly what it says on the tin!

A cache is supposed to work flawlessly in the background, creating a pre-loaded ‘copy’ of your primary website pages so that when a customer comes calling they experience a rapid delivery of the page to their browser.

This matters even more since July 2018 when Google changed their search engine ranking algorithm to include a loading speed test!

The point of a cache being that all the donkey work of bringing all the disparate elements of a webpage together has been handled before they get there, thereby speeding up the delivery and increasing the chances of your potential customer sticking around long enough to want to take a look around what you have to offer.

Why is it so extraordinary then that I am saying Viper Cache actually works?

Because, in my experience the free cache plugins for Wordpress have two major issues.

First, over the years I’ve found that in 8 or even 9 times out of 10 something on my Worpdress website was broken or just not behaving right, it was a cache plugin that was eventually discovered to be causing the issue.

Usually, I found a workaround... after many hours and even months before I realised one particular setting was problematic.

But then the second issue kicks in. Which is that these cache plugins are simply not consistent in their performance.

I don’t know why that should be the case and I’m aware that there are number of other factors that can cause a website to load slowly.

However, since using Viper Cache I have discovered that my site(s) have been much more consistent in their speed loading time – and I’ve been testing them a lot since getting my hands on a review copy of Viper Cache.

I’m so impressed that I’ve bought my own licence to use it, which brings me nicely to the question of cost. First, there’s just no comparison with the so-called ‘free’ plugins. I’ve used them for years.

Sure you are saving money but you are wasting your time and losing customers! So there IS a direct cost, far more costly than anything you might think you’re saving by using a free cache plugin.

To be perfectly honest, I have used them and never given them much thought, until I came to review Viper Cache over several weeks. And I was astonished to discover that the ‘free’ cache plugin I was using (for years!) wasn’t just giving me aggravation with conflicts with my theme and other plugins, but it was actually slowing my website down!

How does it compare to the ‘paid for’ competition? Well, first, when you watch my review you’ll see that as far as I can tell, after many weeks of testing it, it just works!

That’s all you need to know – it’s a Wordpress cache. It hasn’t broken my website. It isn’t inconsistent and it works! So you can spend more on the competition if you want to. But, why would you?

I did compare it price wise to one of the main competitors, WP Rocket. At the time of writing, if you have just one single website, WP Rocket is cheaper at $30 for a single site licence. I don’t know if it works without breaking your site or if it’s consistent, I haven’t reviewed it.

However, as I read it, that’s a single site licence for 30 bucks. Not a single domain! So, if I’m right, and you have sub-domains or may have in the future, each sub-domain will need a separate Wordpress installation and therefore another cache licence.

Viper Cache comes in at around 40 bucks for personal use on up to 25 websites!  Whereas WP Rocket wants 75 bucks of your cash (not cache!) for 3 websites. And for about 5 bucks more Viper Cache can be used on unlimited websites and you can be an agent for it (and sell it!) and that compares to 150 bucks for WP Rocket unlimited sites licence.

So, for me, it’s a no brainer. Viper Cache works. Free plugins are highly problematic and often don’t work that well and can even make matter worse. And in the paid for plugin world, it’s highly competitive, possibly even the cheapest out there.

It’s rare for me to gush so much about a plugin! But the bottom line is this. Google is now checking website loading speed as part of their search engine ranking algorithm. You NEED a cache plugin that just works! Viper Cache is the one!
