What's a hashtag? the pound sign: # is the hashtag sign.
What is it?
Are you familiar with the use of a tag on Facebook? A hashtag is a way to tag conversations on Twitter.
Anyone can create a hashtag by adding a # in front of any string of letters, words, names or abbreviations.
