A Senior Moment, Trapped In The Path of Disaster

Here we go again with the poorest of the poor sitting helplessly in the cross-hairs... I'm talking about one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere, Haiti... Here's a link to a blog post I wrote on 10/03/2016...

We've all been witness to the horrific sights & stories coming out of the Houston area... After looking at the weather report on CNN I can't even begin to imagine the catastrophic carnage & loss of life that will occur in all of the Caribbean Islands, none of which are financially able to bear the burden this storm will cause, let alone the human pain & suffering...

I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida about half way down the peninsula... While I realize the area where I live may be in the path of this monster storm, if the worst case scenario should arise, I won't hesitate to head to a shelter where maybe I can help by sharing some calm in the midst of the storm... I can't be of much physical help, but if I were to go to a pet friendly shelter I could help some families care for their pets in the midst of all the confusion & turmoil...  I'm especially good with dogs...

Because of TV & the internet to forewarn us of the impending doom, we have the luxury of being somewhat more prepared in comparison to some in the islands I mentioned before... We have the choice to evacuate...

Whatever the outcome in my area, I must, "Let Go & Let God"... I feel blessed in the comfort of that little phrase...  May God bless all who will be impacted...

Signing off 'til next time this is,
