A Seniorism: Can You Teach an Old Dog New Tricks?

Published on 9/29/2017
For additional information  Click Here

It all depends on how eager the dog is to learn the trick & if he sees the reward as enough of a treat to make it worth his effort... I love learning new things & I enjoy researching those things that interest me... I guess that sort of makes me a jack of all trades, master of none...

To remedy that I'm taking a serious six month course in personal development, a subject that is already near & dear to my heart... This course is based partly on a twenty five year study by one of the most acclaimed authors on this subject, Napoleon Hill... It is relevant to all humans no matter the time period we are living in...

I grew up in the years prior to the internet, a generation ahead of the Baby Boomers & the digital age... My generation is more familiar with:

  • dial telephones & party lines
  • the advent of calculators

  • portable radios & headphones

  • stereo records, 8 track & cassette tapes

  • Polaroid cameras

  • introduction to television (Black & white)

  • 1955 - minimum wage was $1.25 an hour

  • 3 lbs. Of hamburger were $1.00

  • you could buy a new car for under $1,000

  • during WWII there were food rations

  • gasoline was rationed

  • women entered the work force

I'm including a video spoken in music

(The International Language)

dedicated to all who were in the path of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma & Marie, prayers especially for all in Puerto Rico...

Needless to say there are times when I feel I'm a bit technology challenged because of the rapid advances that are being made in that field... It's then that I realize while it's nearly impossible for me & my peers to keep up with the unknown it's time we share that what we've already learned, hence my title...
