A Seniorism – If Change Is So Good, Why Don't You Go First?

It's common knowledge that us humans hate change... That's why we often cling to our old opinions & outlooks, many times without challenge... I became familiar with this when I was facing a life changing challenge & I was having a very difficult time with it... It was pointed out to me that I needed to accept the fact that this would be a major turning point in my life...  So I had to put the focus on acceptance...

As it turned out, the outcome of the very thing I was dreading was far better then I ever could have imagined... That was proof to me the old saying is true, "When one door closes, another one opens & it's always better...  When us humans are presented with circumstances that we're not familiar with we resist them by thinking only the worst possible outcome could lay ahead... As a result of this experience I try to remember just like the message in this old song,
I've got to "Accentuate The Positive & Eliminate The Negative" outlook when I get caught up in circumstances that are beyond my control...

Being human I'm not perfect, so this approach doesn't always work but these days I can alert myself with an educated guess as to how to deal with it... I can keep struggling with it or accept it & "Let Go & Let God"...  It's my choice, it's totally up to me...
