Senorisms, The Agony of Temporary Technological Defeat…

The evening of July 3rd, 2018 there was a lightning strike close to my apartment along with an extremely loud thunderclap. Not only did it startle the bejeebies out of me, it took out my laptop & my tv in my bedroom where my office is located… I’ve been in Technical Limbo trying to figure out what to do since then… They were hooked up to a surge protector, but I have a friend knowledgeable in computers & he told me it must have come in through the coaxial cable… He’s letting me use a notebook of his until I can decide what to do… I’m extremely grateful for that, but I feel like I’m in unfamiliar territory, especially since I’m not certain how much content I’ve lost…

First thing to conquer is Acceptance… Since the situation is completely out of my control, I must accept it & get on with what I can control… This is when I realized how grateful I am for my friends & have learned how to reach out to them when needed… That’s not too difficult for me because the situation doesn’t arise that often, being the independent person that I am… Even though that seems to be diminishing with age, I’m not letting it overwhelm me or get me down… I’ve learned that sudden change is usually a temporary thing & with careful thought a satisfactory solution can be reached…

I will find a way through this & in the meantime I will enjoy this little mini-vacation… This is an opportunity for me to do some research for future reference...  I’m managing to stay afloat with minimum life support for my advertising…

My motto is, “If it’s going to be it’s up to me because I’m not a quitter… Winners never quit & quitters never win”…

Signing off 'til next time this is,
