Seniorisms by LMW - Random Acts of Impulsive Optimism!

A quick decision usually denotes an alert mind…

Successful people are decisive…  They don’t agonize over decisions and thereby miss out on a great opportunity…  They gather the relevant information, discuss alternatives with advisers whose opinions they respect, then make a decision & get on with it… Indecision creates the worst kind of paralysis and, left unattended, can permanently damage you & the way you choose to live your life… If you have trouble making decisions, remember that there are few decisions that are irreversible…  If you later discover that you were wrong, correct your course and move on… Napoleon Hill

I used to suffer from “Analysis Paralysis” until I realized the truth revealed in that last sentence…  “If you later discover that you were wrong, correct your course and move on…” These days my friends are amazed at how easily I can change my mind if I make a random decision that looks like it will be wrong for me… That gift was given to me when I had to make decisions about my health…  I don’t use any pain medication except for a daily baby aspirin at the direction of my doctor…

I did use pain medication when I needed both knees replaced simultaneously, but I did get off of it as soon as I could…  The decision to have them both done at the same time was made because I could only get 13 weeks off of work in one calendar year…  I wanted to be rid of the pain, instead of agonizing over it… After discussing my options with the doctor, it took me six days to make the necessary arrangements to have the surgeries performed…  I figured this would save me many days of mental anguish because in my mind it was the only option for me… This was done about 8 years ago… I was able to suffer through it, pain & all, but I never looked back or regretted my decision…  I can ride my bike pain free!

My favorite feel good in the Mornin' song!!!

I owe my “Gratitude Attitude” to my ability to make decisions based on my own Random Acts of Impulsive Optimism! I believe in & I practice “Extraordinary Happyness” on a daily basis… That’s my choice each morning as I wake up…

Signing off 'til next time this is,
