Seniorisms by LMW, You’re Never Too Old To Appreciate Harmony & Synchronicity…

Today I’d like to put the Spotlight on another Senior who is like the Energizer Bunny…  He’s 88 years old & still performing his life’s passion, Ahmad Jamal… He is a successful perfectionist who is living his dream…  He hasn’t worked in years because he so enjoys what he’s doing… His trio brings joy & happiness into people’s lives by sharing his music… I can't sit still while listening to their music...  Good for my soul & great for a workout!

I used to train people on how run product on CNC air-bearing lathes…  Every once in awhile I’d run across someone who had a perfectionist attitude…  I would  point out that perfectionism is a time consumer… Any imperfections that were accrued during the process would easily be corrected down the line…  I had a reputation for being a good trainer because of my patience & specific explanations of the process… I enjoyed my job because it helped me relate to people from many other cultures…

I remember one young man in particular, Tuan from Vietnam… He was in his late 20s, very smart & easy to train…  By the time he left for a better job he gave me a beautiful gift, a little porcelain swan with gold detail… He told me I made learning fun & everytime he would hear the song “Unforgettable” by Natalie Cole he would remember me…  I learned a lot from him also because I asked him many questions about his culture… I’ll never forget Tuan… I’m sure whatever he’s doing today he is good at it…  He’s easy to teach & has a great attitude…

Signing off 'til next time this is,

Linda Michel White
