I recommend ... and so do you! It is really what networking is based on. The good news is just about everyone recommends things everyday. It is widely accepted that word of mouth recommendations are among the most credible and effective form of communicating information.
So why is it that when we link something that we do so naturally to a company/product/service that will compensate us for helping to get the word out to others that many people hesitate and have a reluctance to tell others about this great way to work?
Is it that people distrust our motivations the moment that they sense they are being sold something? Well, distrust is a very strong word, yet it is very likely that the profit factor can cause many to filter your message and even perceive it differently than if they were not concentrating quite as much on money motivation.
For many of us it is not what we do that causes people to resist considering our company/product/service. If they were to actually use our product/service they would almost assuredly like it.
That means it is more likely what we SAY that raises their defenses.
