The concept of the pursuit of perfection has certainly been out there in the religious realm for about as far back as anyone would care to trace it ... those commandments certainly were guiding us down the correct path.
We also see a lot of emphasis on this obtainment of excellence in sports. Those that develop the better technique and can most successfully execute it are often the champions of their particular arena of endeavor. Even the best of the very best work untiringly to stretch the limits of what might still be possible.
For a long time I spent countless hours and a considerable amount of resources in trying to find the company/product/service that was the embodiment of the ideas that I wanted to represent. Of course, companies are a lot like people in that there are no perfect ones to be found and things are always in a state of flux. To be sure, there ARE better companies/products/services with which to associate, yet there is plenty of room for opinion even when looking at options inside of specific niche markets.
So if finding the ideal company/product/service is not the complete answer to success in online marketing then I needed to consider the additional components. Maybe I just needed to find the perfect customers?! Yes, we have powerful tools to help us identify and analysis all kinds of demographics. And there is some benefit to making some effort to getting your message in front of the RIGHT audience. Yet the ideal company/product/service should have enough universal appeal that the percentage of the populace that could/would not benefit from it should be relatively small.
What else is there? Price? Availability? Geographic restrictions? Regulations? Technical or educational requirements? Yes, all of these matter to a greater or lesser extent too.
While I have made measurable progress overtime tinkering with many of those variables there was still a lot of room for growth ... yes, it was time to turn inward and see what improvements I could make on ME. Without discounting the importance of the things outlined above (and some not even touched on, like the application of technology and promotional resources), I have learned that I can accelerate the growth of my business most by working on mindsets and skill sets.
The mindsets are maybe one of the trickiest areas because there are different philosophies to which one can subscribe. Is it better to affiliate with a chosen company and make sure that "the main thing is the main thing"?! Or is it better to develop multiple streams of income? Putting all of the "eggs in one basket" can be devastating if the basket gets stepped on! Yet a diffused focus does not usually lend itself to optimal results. I resolved this dilemma by making a concerted effort to align programs in a synergistic fashion that lets me and those I work with benefit from additional sources of income that are derived from ancillary services that we necessarily need to utilize in building and supporting our primary program(s). An example of that is where and how promotional work is done ... if through making recommendations of particular services can provide economy of scale or create an additional profit center then that can be a good thing without being a distraction ... we need to promote the primary program(s)!
Skill sets are the distinguishing factor for why some people achieve different levels of success than others that are working with the same company/product/service. Working on oneself is the one thing that ultimately nobody else can do for you! The mindset to be determined to develop the proper skill set IS the way that some people are able to create different outcomes than others laboring toward the same goals.
Those mindsets and skill sets usually are crystallized into a systematic way of doing things that can then be shared with others. I heard it said recently that by putting the focus on the system it is possible to minimize the ego driven personality component. Success comes from disciplining oneself to work within the system while continuing to pursue the perfection of the best mindsets and skill sets.
If you would like to know what I have determined to be the most practical and applicable system for developing the optimal mindsets and skill sets then message me from within my IBOSoical page ( IBOSocial.com/LonnieG ) ... I will freely share with you what has been generously shared with me.
